Yogya clamps down on illegal sex drug stores

YOGYAKARTA: The Yogyakarta city administration has closed down 14 drugstores operating without business licenses.
The stores reportedly sold various unregistered sex enhancement drugs and sex toys believed to pose dangers to human health.
The head of the municipal Public Order Office, Suryanto, said the 14 drugstores were found to be operating islegally and selling illicit sex enhancement drugs and sex toys during raids conducted by the agency.
“We have brought the 14 cases to court. All have been processed for minor criminal acts,” Suryanto said recently.
Suryanto said the owners of the stores had been fined between Rp 199,000 and Rp 224,000 and ordered to close down their businesses.
