‘I Will Always Love You’ difficult for Gisel

JAKARTA: Singer Gisel says she was nervous singing “I Will Always Love You”, the song made popular in the early 1990s by recently departed Whitney Houston.

She was asked to perform the song on Monday on the Cerita Cinta program on MNCTV.

“I was nervous because I have never sung that song before ... I was afraid because the person who sang it was really great. I would be happy not to hit any false notes, let alone deliver an equal performance. Because it has a very high level of difficulty,” she said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

Gisel’s fame began when she became the runner up for the 2008 Indonesian Idol.
