Tribunnews.com/HerudinJAKARTA: Prosecutors failed to read out their sentence demand against former Citibank manager Malinda Dee as the trial was adjourned on Wednesday.
Judge Yonisman said the trial was postponed to Thursday because the presiding judge, Gusrizal, could not lead the trial as he was out of town on duty.
“The trial is adjourned for one day. We will start it tomorrow, Thursday at 10 a.m.,” Yonisman said at the South Jakarta District Court.
Malinda’s lawyer Batara Simbolon said they were ready for whatever decision the judge arrived at, citing that they still expected to win.

“We’re ready to win but we have prepared for the worst as well,” he said.Tribunnews.com/Dany Permana
Malinda also said that she was ready for the sentencing demand. “Just wish me luck, I pray for the best,” she said.
Malinda is a suspect in a case centering on the embezzlement of more than Rp 44 billion from 34 of her premium clients. In the previous trial, Malinda denied that she had embezzled her clients’ money. She said all transactions were done so with their consent.
