Your comments on legislators’ complaints on refreshments served at meetings at the House of Representatives
Maybe the boxes aren’t nice enough.
Taco de Vries
I think legislators are spoiled. They should be more concerned about poor people, not their refreshments.
Or maybe legislators want to have refreshments on a banana leaf like poor people do.

Enough is enough. Refreshments or a light meal should not be a hot topic in the House of Representatives. If they want various kinds of meals, they should bring food from their own homes or purchase meals from vendors outside the building, where they might see lots of fresh and healthier food.

Every month people pay you, our respected legislative members. Where does the money go? What are you looking for with your complaints?
Ferdinantdus Supandri
Oh please, we conduct our meetings without refreshments and we’re damn fine with it too. These people must learn hardship.
Irawan Kamla Thalib
It is better to give them water and no snack at all.

They are people of low quality. How can they sit there and still complain?
Lilis Marliani
The word “legislator” has shamefully become synonymous with corruption, so much so that when these legislators complained about refreshments served inside boxes for meetings at the House of Representatives, I had the impression that even the funds for their own refreshment snacks were corrupted, resulting in the poor quality they deserve.
This is a good and direct lesson to them to learn that when the projects for the people who voted for them were corrupted, the result was the same if not worse!
By the way, are they blind or simply indifferent toward their people? They really reminded me of one comment that referred to them as “kindergarten milieu.”

The complaints of legislators about refreshments served inside boxes for their meetings reflected their childish attitudes.
They occupy a good building, but they still feel inconvenienced. They have good chairs but they want better ones. Now, they complain about refreshments. What will they complain about tomorrow?
Their complaining does not touch the central issues and they should not make this statement publicly. All facilities at the House are still very viable.
All members of the House should be aware that there are so many people outside who are living in poverty.

Our representatives in the House continue to disappoint the people who elected them.
They are slow to act in the interests of the people, but very alert and active in matters concerning their personal interest.
