Principal, ex-principal in fight before students in Aceh

Lukman Hakim, the principal of an Islamic junior high school (madrasah tsanawiyah) in Blangkejeren, Gayo Lues, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, was involved in a fight with a colleague, Abdan, a former principal of the school, in front of the students and teachers.

The fight broke out when Abdan, who currently teaches at the school, suddenly punched Lukman following a flag-hoisting ceremony on Monday morning.

Some teachers managed to pull the two apart after five minutes.

Lukman later reported Abdan to the Blangkejeren Police.

Gayo Lues Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Sofyan Tanjung said the Blangkejeren Police were investigating the cause of the fight.

“We are questioning several eyewitnesses. We don't know the motive yet,” Sofyan was quoted by tribunnews.com as saying on Tuesday.
