SBY set to direct envoys on Thursday

INDONESIA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is set to give directives to the heads of Indonesia’s representative offices during a working meeting at the Foreign Ministry.
The event is due to take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Foreign Ministry on Jl. Taman Pejambon in Central Jakarta.
The President is expected to deliver his directive speech during the meeting’s opening ceremony, which is open to journalists.
Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said in his New Year’s speech that economic diplomacy would continue to be a main theme in Indonesia’s foreign policy.
He said the nation’s overseas representative offices have been instructed to support the nation’s export targets and the implementation of its economic master plan.
