Tangerang murder suspects nabbed in Aceh

Kompas.comTwo men and a women suspected of killing a local resident have been arrested while on the run in Central Aceh regency and turned over to the Tangerang City Police.

The suspects – identified as AS, 39; his mother, HT, 69; and alleged stolen goods fence MA – arrived in Tangerang on Tuesday, Tangerang City Police chief Sr. Comr. Wahyu Widada said on Tuesday.

According to the police, AS killed Inneke Gandaprajitna, 39, during a robbery gone wrong at the victim’s home in the Victoria Park housing complex.

AS panicked after discovering Inneke was home and allegedly stabbed her 27 times before absconding with Rp 400,000 (US$4.40), two cellular phones, a digital music player and the keys to the victim’s car, which police said he then gave to his mother, who allegedly sold the items to MA, according to police.

Wahyu said AS would likely be charged with premeditated murder, which carries a maximum penalty of death.
