Comments: More street vendors, less poverty: Minister
Feb. 17, Online
The government says it wants to help more people join the ranks of the nation’s 90 million street vendors in order to promote public welfare and economic development.
I smell some taxes and corruption coming.
Street vendors are not irrelevant in domestic economic development. The circulation of money reaches billions of rupiah per day and ordinary people can buy what they need at affordable prices.
Taxes? Sure, every citizen must pay tax. If not, Indonesia will experience Greece’s syndrome.
Corruption? We have the KPK to curb corruption.
