The International-Indonesian Poets Forum (FPII) is expected to host poets from around the world at Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java, from April 1 to 13.
“The event will be held in Lumbini Park in the compound of Borobudur Temple,” FPII organizing committee chairwoman Dorothea Rosa Herliany said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Saturday.
Ten local poets would be joined by peers from Australia, Germany, Denmark, Iceland, Macedonia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, the United States and Zimbabwe, Rosa added.
Additional forums are planned for Pekalongan, Central Java, from April 4 to 6; Malang, East Java, from April 7 to 9; and Surabaya, East Java, from April 10 to 12. All the events will be free and open to the public.
“The event is held so poets from all around the globe can support each other to create world-class poems,” Rosa said.(iwa)
