Former ministers appointed BRI commissioners

Former state-owned enterprises minister Mustafa Abubakar and former youth and sports affairs minister Adhyaksa Dault have been appointed commissioners of state lender PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk.

Their appointments were approved at the bank’s general shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Finance Ministry’s inspector general Vincentius Sonny Loho and noted economist Aviliani were also appointed independent commissioners at the country's largest bank by lending.

The appointed commissioners, however, still have to undergo screening and their appointments approved by the central bank before officially taking up their posts.(iwa)
