Hotman downplays Meriam’s police report

Hotman Paris Hutapea says that there is nothing to the police report filed by his close friend, actress Meriam Bellina, alleging that the flamboyant Batak attorney mistreated her.

“It’s actually just a misunderstanding. What she reported is an incident that happened three years ago,” Hotman said on Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Meriam reported Hotman to the Jakarta Police for allegedly physically abusing her and harassing her through text messages and phone calls.

Hotman - well known for the office buildings bearing his name, driving expensive sports cars and for once carrying a pistol - downplayed the allegations.

“We have been very close over the past three years. We went on holiday together. We have no problems.” (hwa)
