Small quake shakes Minahasa

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Southeast Minahasa regency, North Sulawesi, on Tuesday morning.

Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake shook the area at 4:21 a.m.

The epicenter was located 111 kilometers to the southeast of the regency, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The agency confirmed that the quake did not have any potential to trigger a tsunami. (asa)
