Located only a few hours drive from Perth, cool-climed Margaret River makes a perfect destination for foodies and wine lovers.
“We want to bring all of those experiences to our guests, right here in Jakarta, so they can have the opportunity to personally meet our guest chefs and the winemakers themselves,” said Patrick Weder, the hotel’s executive assistant manager food and beverage.
The guest chefs are Dennis Mifsud of wine bar restaurant Winos and Tony Howell, resident executive chef from Cape Lodge, one of Australia’s finest new generation gourmet establishments and a former MasterChef Australia finalist.
Mifsud has worked across Southeast Asia, Europe and Australia and is an avid promoter of a truly regional Australian cuisine. Howell, who joined Cape Lodge as a resident executive chef in 1999, has faithfully promoted Australian cuisine and particularly the offerings of Margaret River. He entered “MasterChef” to help boost the local hospitality industry.
The hotel will hold a Wine Market at 8 Lounge on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wine lovers can sample variety of wines from all over Western Australia combined with a selection of snacks prepared by the chefs. For the opportunity to taste 10 different wines and snacks, the price will be Rp 298,000++ per person.
To properly close the culinary and wine experience, guests are invited to learn how to identify wine based on their aromas and how to do pair them with food. The class will be held on April 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., priced at Rp 398,000++, inclusive of wine tasting and cocktail.
