FPI angry over Lady Gaga’s
Jakarta concert

The hard-line Islam Defender Font (FPI) says it will take to the streets if US singer Lady Gaga does not cancel her upcoming Jakarta concert.

Lady Gaga will perform in the capital on June 3.

“FPI is strongly rejecting Lady Gaga’s concert because we know very well how she is during the performing in concerts everywhere,” FPI chairman Habib Rizieq said in Jakarta on Friday.

He promised that he would join FPI members in taking to the streets if the concert went ahead.

“If you want chaos in Jakarta, just continue to hold the concert,” he said.

Rizieq said that he would directly convey the group’s opposition to the President, tempo.co reported. (swd)
