Indonesian soccer team
beats Mauritania 2-0

Indonesia soccer team defeated Mauritania 2-0 in the 2012 Al-Nakba International Tournament in Palestine to reach the second leg of the B group, temporarily following Kurdistan.

Indonesian player Hendra Adi Bayou scored the first goal in the 20th minute of the first half on a pass from Titus Bonai.

Five minutes later, Mauritanian defender Yocoub scored an own goal that secured the Indonesian squad’s lead until the match ended.

Indonesia will face Kurdistan on Sunday to determine which team tops the group and secures a position in the semifinals.

Currently, Kurdistan tops the leaderboard after beating Mauritania 3-1 in the previous match.

The international tournament in Palestine started on May 13 and will run until May 24, Antara news agency reported. (asa)
