Alfamart robbed at gunpoint

Five men brandishing revolvers and machetes robbed an Alfamart store in Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, on Monday night, fleeing with cash and goods worth Rp 34.6 million (US$3,736.8)
Witnesses said the incident took place at 10:40 p.m.
The robbers arrived at the store on three motorcycles, kompas.com reported
Three of the five men entered the store while two stood guard outside.
The robbers threatened workers Jumarto, 38, and Joseph Toufik, 20, with their weapons. Under gunpoint, Jumarto and Toufik were tied up with plastic rope and had their mouths gagged with duct tape.
The robbers quickly took cash worth Rp 3.8 million from the register, along with 78 boxes of cigarettes, cosmetics and a number of packaged milk boxes.
The thieves also made off with one of the workers' motorcycles, a Honda Vario licensed in 2012 with plate number B 3454 KFS.
