Fauzi donates motorcycles at union party

Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo donated eight motorcycles for members of the National Police, the Indonesian Military (TNI) and labor unions at an entertainment show to congratulate them for the peaceful rally during May Day.

Initially, the organizers of the show had supplied five motorcycles as door prizes for people attending the event, but Fauzi later came and added eight extra ones.

"I added them because the amount of motorcycles was limited," Fauzi said on Wednesday night, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Fauzi did not say where the money for those eight motorcycles came from.

The entertainment event, held at the National Monument (Monas) park, featured artists like Cintiya Sari and Uut Permatasari.(png)
