CSR products on show at empowerment center

A- A A+

The 36th IPA featured an Empowerment Center to showcase products made by communities fostered under their CSR programs.

As many companies work in the offshore sector, the communities they assist are also often located near the coastline. There were products of salted fish and fish crackers from West Java fishing communities in Blanakan, Subang and Eretan, Indramayu.

The center also had products from non-fishing communities, such as massage and reflexology devices made by street children in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, with assistance from Pertamina and BP Migas.

Total E&P Indonesie also assists a community in Samboja, East Kalimantan, to produce cakes and handicrafts, while Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO) helps Tanjungbumi batik makers in Macajah village, Bangkalan, Madura, to develop their businesses.
