Quake of 5.9 RS jolts Manokwari

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake shook the city of Manokwari in West Papua on Friday morning. The epicenter was estimated to be located around 69 kilometers south-east of Tambrauw regency in the province.
The quake caused local residents to panic, with many of them choosing to stay outside their homes for fear of injury.
At the time of writing, many residents are still living outdoors.
It was not yet known whether the quake had caused any structural damage or claimed lives, kompas.com reported on Friday. (png/dic)
