Police suggest Gaga concert ticket refund at Senayan's East Parking area
The Jakarta Police have suggested that the ticket refund process for the cancelled Lady Gaga concert be held at Bung Karno Sports Complex’s East Parking area in Senayan, Central Jakarta.
“The East Parking area is spacious and wide open. We want the refund process to be held at places such as this to avoid ticket holders from pushing and shoving against each other,” police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told reporters on Monday.
He also reaffirmed the police’s suggestion that the refund process be held over several days.
“The concert promoter must clearly publish all of the process technicalities to the public, including the time and the place of the refund process, so that [the ticket holders] understand what they have to do to get their money back,” he said.
According to Rikwanto, the police and promoter Big Daddy Entertainment are still engaged in discussions regarding the refund process.
Some 52,000 people had bought tickets for Gaga’s canceled concert, about 12,000 of whom are located overseas, such as in Australia and the Philippines.
Big Daddy has confirmed that the refund process would begin as early as June 10. (mtq)
