A 22-year-old man was charged on Wednesday with causing a teen to take a drug.
Sean Chew Jun Yang allegedly caused the 14-year-old to take Dulcolax, an over-the-counter anti-constipation drug, on May 8.
The alleged incident happened at a staircase landing in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2.
Chew was remanded for a week at Jurong police division as he is believed to be involved in other cases.
A police statement said the suspect had randomly selected his victims from Facebook and obtained their details. He would then pretend to be their ex-schoolmate and deceive them into believing that he has a project in hand and needed their help to take some pills for an experiment.
If convicted, he can be jailed for up to one year and shall also be liable to a fine or caning.
He will be back on June 13.
