Pertamina signs MoU with Algerian company

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Algerian national oil company Sonatrach for cooperation in its areas of operation in Algeria, Indonesia and other parts of the world.

The cooperation includes the exchange of expertise and knowledge in various segments of the hydrocarbon chain, especially in the domain of research and development. They have agreed to also exchange information on the gas industry and its derivatives as well as explore opportunities to cooperate in that field.

“The two companies have in this manner expressed by this signature, their wish and determination to cooperate and strengthen their relations,” said a press statement sent to The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.

The MoU was signed by Sonatrach partnerships director Kamel Eddine Chikhi and Pertamina investment planning and risk management director Afdal Bahaudin.
