Not free after all: Batam councilors pay an impromptu visit to one of seven luxurious car importers’ showrooms who have duty-free facilities and found out that the cars were sold for relatively similar prices compared to cars sold in other regions in Indonesia. Illegal fees set by local authorities are blamed for the issue. Batam is a free-trade zone. (JP/Fadli)
