The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) says that there are at least 222 voters who have double demography identity numbers.
The Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) said that those people with more than one identity number would not be given a voting card or an invitation to vote.
Most of the irregularities showed up in East Jakarta, where 86 residents had two or more identity numbers.
Sixty were found in Central Jakarta, while 48 were in South Jakarta, 10 in West Jakarta and 16 in North Jakarta.
Two of those with double identity numbers live in the Thousand Islands.
The 2004 Law on Regional Elections stipulates that falsification and fraud related to voting is regarded as a crime, kompas.com reported on Friday. (png/iwa)
