BNN destroys 1.41m ecstasy pills

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) destroyed 1.41 million ecstasy pills in Bogor on Friday.
These pills, which were approximately worth a total of Rp 423.74 billion (US$45.34 million), were seized during a raid at Peti Kemas terminal in Tanjung Priok last month.
The pills were discovered on a ship that had traveled to Jakarta from Shenzen, China.
Police have confiscated 735 pills from the total haul to use as evidence during forthcoming drug trials. An additional 30 have been saved for research purposes, Antara news agency reported on Friday.
