House fire kills mother and 2 children

A house fire in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Friday morning resulted in the deaths of a mother and her two children.
The victims have been identified as Lita Syahara, 30, M Makdum Ibrahim, 6, and Syarifah Nur, 3.
The three were found dead in their bathroom.
Firefighters said that they didn't know there was anyone in the house.
"None of the neighbors told us there were people in the house. We only found out after we finished extinguishing the flames," said Frans Hodden, head of the South Jakarta Firefighters Agency, as quoted by kompas.com on Friday.
Firefighters arrived on 13 fire trucks and managed to bring the flames under control one hour after the fire began at 2:45 a.m. on Friday.
Frans suspects that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. (png/iwa)
