Police shoot and kill motorcycle thief

Bantar Gebang Police in the city of Bekasi shot dead a motorcycle thief late on Thursday night.
The thief, Muhammad Oki Saputra, died after a bullet pierced his chest. Police managed to capture his accomplice, Jamaludin and are now holding him in custody.
Both Oki and Jamaludin are residents of Melinting district in East Lampung.
Police were initially patrolling the area when they noticed two people riding a motorcycle in a suspicious manner.
Police tailed the two until they suddenly began firing at the police, the latter claimed. No police officer was harmed during the shootout.
Police seized as evidence a revolver, a knife, a Yamaha motorcycle and four T-shaped keys, tribunnews.com reported on Friday. (png/swd)
