PT KAI to remove 2 economy trains in Bogor, Bekasi

State railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) is temporarily retiring two of its economy-class trains in Bogor and Bekasi.
"Those two trains stall a lot, so we're going to carry out some repairs on them," said PT KAI spokesman Mateta Rijalulhaq as quoted by tempo.co.
Because there aren't any additional economy-class trains to replace the ones being fixed, two air-conditioned commuter-class trains will be used instead. The commuter trains will be taking over 20 routes that the economy trains previously handled.
PT KAI says it will not change its regular prices for commuter-class trains.
It will still cost Rp 7,000 (US$0.74) for a commuter-line ticket.
There are currently 12 economy-class trains and 24 commuter-line trains handling 531 routes in and around Jakarta. (png)
