Film
The adorable Audrey Hepburn inspired many people over the decades, even following her death around 20 years ago. Bentara Budaya Jakarta will be screening six of her 31 films on June 13 and 14. Hepburn was born as Audrey Kathleen Ruston on May 4, 1929 in Brussels, Belgium. Her father was a British banker and her mother was a Dutch Baroness. She lived with her mother in London and later in Arnhem in the Netherlands after her parents divorced. But when Adolf Hitler’s troops occupied the city, she became depressed and tried her luck in America. Her film Roman Holiday (1953) garnered her an Oscar for Best Actress. Other films that will be screened are, Sabrina (1953), Funny Face (1957), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Charade (1963) and My Fair Lady (1964).
