IMO view: What makes you smile?

Recently, I and my fellow teachers gathered in the staff meeting room for a weekly staff meeting. We used the meeting for time to reflect.
There were some questions being asked. One of the questions was, “What makes you smile?”
Think, think, think, I was asking myself. When did I smile lately? Why? How?
With whom?
The Encharta dictionary defines a smile as making a pleasant expression and raising the corners of the mouth in an expression of amusement and happiness.
You smile when you feel happy. I am not a smiley person who loves to smile.
If I may say, my face is rather grumpy looking. That’s why it was quite challenging when I was asked what made me smile. Maybe I had just never thought about it before or had never even cared too much about it.
I smile when I take a deep breath and feel the fresh air in the morning before I start my daily jog …
I smile when I run …
I smile when I buy some nasi pecel on my way home after jogging (because I can’t wait to eat) …
I smile when I meet my students …
I smile when I eat a bar of chocolate and feel it melt in my mouth …
I smiled when I bought my first new pair of mountain shoes …
I smiled when I finished all my work and knew that my holiday was approaching …
I smiled … I laughed…
Then, I came to the conclusion that you don’t need to do something big to be able to smile. Simple things need to be valued in order to make you happy and smiley.
I want to always smile … Not only when I am happy … I smile when I am sad or upset, too, so that nobody will be sad knowing that I am sad …
I am learning to smile ….
So, what makes you smile?
