Graft suspect Neneng Sri Wahyuni, wife of graft convict Muhammad Nazaruddin, arrived at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday afternoon – with a new look.

Neneng, who does not normally wear a head scarf on a daily basis, was seen wearing one upon her arrival at KPK headquarters.

Not only was she wearing a head scarf, she also covered her face, leaving only her eyes uncovered.

Previously, Yulianis and Oktarina Furi also wore head scarfs and purdah only when they testified at Nazaruddin’s trial in the case of the Rp 191.7 billion (US$20.32 million) athletes’ village construction project for the Southeast (SEA) Asian Games.

Oktarina was Neneng’s personal assistant, while Yulianis was deputy financial director at Nazaruddin’s holding company, PT Permai Group, which Nazaruddin used to bid for government projects that were then subcontracted to larger companies in exchange for money. (mtq)
