AKARTA: Guitarist Dewa Budjana has gone to Los Angeles to record his upcoming album with American musicians.

The 48-year-old said he spent a week there to finish his sixth album, titled Journey.

“I don’t know when it will be released. I just want to make music and record it,” he told kompas.com recently.

The guitarist of Gigi said that he was collaborating once again with composer and drummer Peter Erskine. Erskine helped Budjana on his two previous albums, Samsara (2003) and Home (2006).

Budjana said he recorded seven songs in LA with the help of local musicians like Bob Mintzer, Larry Goldings and Jimmy Johnson.
