Portugal football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani are set to make a stopover in Singapore next month.
Manchester United player Nani will be in Singapore on July 15 for a promotional visit.
Said Jon Collins, chief executive officer of football consultancy Centurion Football: 'Nani is looking at a holiday in the region so he might be here for a couple of days. We're looking to organize an event at Clarke Quay.'
The Manchester United player visited Singapore in June last year to help raise awareness for the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship.
It is likely his Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo will also visit Singapore around the same time, understood to be either July 10 or July 17.
'Ronaldo will be signing a deal with Toyota in Thailand, and he'll be in the region as part of the renewal of that contract,' said Collins.
'There are a couple of parties in Singapore that have expressed interest in bringing him in on a private capacity.'
He declined to reveal which organisations could be responsible for Ronaldo's visit but said it is likely there will be a public meet- and-greet session with fans.
The Real Madrid talisman was instrumental in leading his side to their first La Liga title in three years this past season.
He made history over the past season when he became the first player to score against all 19 teams in the Spanish Primera Liga in a season. He also finished the season with 60 goals in all competitions, breaking the record of 53 he had set the season before.
Several high-profile football stars have visited the Republic in recent months, including Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany and Craig Bellamy of Liverpool.
