5.7-magnitude quake hits North Maluku

Jakarta: An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale rocked North Maluku at 5:17 a.m. local time (3:17 a.m. Jakarta time) on Friday.
The Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) said the quake’s epicenter was 80 kilometers northwest of Ternate in North Maluku at a depth of 16 kilometers.
The PVMBG said the earthquake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, kompas.com reported.
