Indonesian concert promoter Big Daddy Entertainment announced Monday that South Korean boy band Big Bang would add an additional concert in Jakarta, slated for Oct.12 at the Mata Elang International Stadium (MEIS) in North Jakarta.

The announcement was made via the promoter’s official Twitter account, @bigdaddyid, saying, “Announcement: BigBang Alive Tour, October 12 & 13 @ MEIS, Jakarta. More info soon”.

High demand likely prompted the event organizer to add an additional performance from the South Korean sensation.

Tickets for the concert on Oct.13 reportedly sold out only minutes after online sales opened at ticket.com and myticket.co.id. on June 9.

Big Bang, first Asian group to receive the Worldwide Act Award at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, was formed in 2006 and consists of Kwon Ji Yong (G. Dragon), Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P), Dong Young Bae (Taeyang), Kang Daesung and Lee Seung Hyun (Seungri).

The group’s 2012 World Tour, which kicked off on March 2 at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastic Hall, is the band’s first and will include shows in 25 cities and 16 countries.
