AMBI: In the January-May period this year, at least 83 people were killed in 408 traffic accidents taking place throughout Jambi province.
“Traffic accidents have become a consistent killer. We’ve tried hard to curb the number, especially through education, to abide by traffic signs,” head of the legal enforcement unit of the Jambi Traffic Police Adj. Sr. Comr. Kuswahyudi Tresnadi said on Monday.
Aside from causing deaths, 88 people were severely injured and 226 others suffered from light wounds during the accidents, he said.
