We need a leader who is courageous and can address annual flooding and poverty in Jakarta – one who is clever not only in making promises, but one who can deliver on those promises.

Isn’t their singing so sweet? They seem to be able to do “magical” things. Managing Jakarta is not as easy as they say. Jakarta needs somebody with sincere intentions to make progress. Do we have someone?

Jakartans cannot help but endure the heat, pollution, floods, traffic jams, bus/train overloading, the sight of crowded riverbanks and railroad dwellings with all their unsightly consequences. Jakartans are anxious to enjoy the long-awaited blue sky when most of the aforementioned problems will have been properly solved.
Selected business joint ventures between Jakarta and villages of neighboring provinces could be
arranged to the effect of repatriating many urbanized village families; thus reducing, if not eliminating the unnecessary urbanization.
To make Jakarta more livable, the effort to obtain Jakarta’s blue sky must remain serious. SBY’s
announcement of promoting electric cars is indeed a promising step forward.
All of the gubernatorial candidates have the desire to improve the condition of the over populated capital city and their individual experiences in the past and courage will give them the chance to
realize the desires of Jakartans.

We need a leader who can deliver whatever he promises and works only to achieve those goals.
