Atiqah Hasiholan learning to sing

JAKARTA: Actress Atiqah Hasiholan, who is currently filming with Korean star Eru, recently learned to sing.

The 29-year-old said her boyfriend, actor Rio Dewanto, has been helping her with her singing voice.

“[Rio] was the one who taught me to sing for my new movie role because his passion is singing. I practiced for two weeks before I recorded some songs for the movie soundtrack,” said Atiqah as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

She added, “This is my first singing role ... Though I really enjoyed singing, I realize that my priority is to promote the movie.”

According to Atiqah, her mother, veteran actress Ratna Sarumpaet, had suggested that Atiqah practice her singing. “My mother said that an actress must be able to sing as well as act, but I was never confident enough to sing,” she said.
