KPK questions Golkar politicians over bribery case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned on Friday the head of the Golkar Party faction at the House of Representatives, Setya Novanto, in relation to a bribery case surrounding the National Games (PON) in Riau.
“He was questioned as a witness in the PON Riau bribery case,” acting KPK spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha told reporters on Friday.
He said Setya was questioned in his capacity as a witness for a suspect for the case, Lukman Abbas.
He added that the KPK also scheduled a questioning of Golkar politician and member of House’s Commission X, Kahar Muzakir, in connection to the same case.
The antigraft commission has named six people suspects in the case, namely; Riau Youth and Sports Agency head Lukman Abas, developer PT Pembangunan Perumahan staff member Rahmat Syahputra, Riau Youth and Sports Agency official Eka Dharma Putra and three Riau legislative councilors — M Faisal Aswan (Golkar), M Dunir from the National Awakening Party (PKB), and Tufan Andoso from the National Mandate Party (PAN).
