Hello, sunshine!

A- A A+

Already busy preparing your summer getaway with loved ones? Then it’s time to complete your holiday wardrobe with stunning beach-ready swimwear.

“Make sure you have plenty of shopping time when hunting for a bathing suit,” advises Samuel, development manager of Lasona, a well-known local sports and body wear brand.

That way, you can carefully try out several different swimsuits in the fitting room before deciding on the perfect piece.

Well-fitted swimwear must be tight on the body but still comfortable enough for you to move around freely.

“If a bathing suit is too big, it will feel heavy under water because it creates too many air bags,” explains Samuel. “While swimwear that is too small will restrain your body movements.”

Also important is checking the swimsuit’s material. Samuel suggests to always buy bathing suits made of Nylon Lycra®, with a stretch fabric fiber developed and produced by DuPont®, because it is ultra comfy and long lasting.

This year’s swimwear is drenched in fresh, cheerful colors, parading cool, timeless prints and patterns, such as floral, stripes, and ethnic.

And whether you are into classic one-piece swimsuits or sexy two-piece ensembles, there are many gorgeous trends for everyone to flaunt this summer.

Pretty one-piece wonder.
The one-piece bathing suit is still a top pick of many Indonesian ladies. It is also a wise choice for those who prefer to keep their tummy nicely tucked in place while relaxing on a white sandy beach. The classy navy color one-piece swimsuit with white lace-up detail from Lasona is visibly impossible to resist. Match it with a wide brim raffia sun hat and a white shirtdress for covering up for an effortless, graceful look.

Flattering skirted sight. A skirted one-piece swimsuit is trendy this year. “It’s feminine and suitable for all body shapes, especially for pear-shaped women who want to hide their thighs,” says Samuel. Make a subtle chic impact with a red-and-white nautical stripe skirted one-piece bathing suit adorned with a black-and-white polka dot bow detail from Lasona.

Fabulously hot monokini. The popping bold color monokini is undoubtedly the ultimate swimwear style this summer. “The monokini is a modern combination of one-piece and two-piece swimsuits and is definitely a favorite among today’s fashionistas,” explains Samuel. “This standout swimwear will stylishly show off your body curves, especially the waist area,” he says. Coming in many glamorous yet elegant designs, the monokini is amazingly trendy attire for a fun party on a yacht or in a cool beach club. Kick start your summer with a solid vivid shade monokini, such as the striking red number from Lasona.

Playful bandeau flair.
Another hit selection for two-piece swimwear is the bandeau bikini set with a classic strapless design or various embellished bands: one shoulder, halter, or spaghetti strap. The tube-top is easy to slip on and comfortable to wear all day. Turn heads in Lasona’s beautiful floral print bandeau halter-top bikini set.

Sweet tankini charm.
“If you wish to wear a two-piece swimsuit but still want to conceal the stomach area, then a tankini set is for you,” recommends Samuel. “The design and length of the tank-top will effectively cover your tummy without restricting your moves.” Enjoy the warm weather ahead in Lasona’s lovely polka dot tankini set with a lace trim and bow detail.

Care tips
• Since the swimsuit’s stretch material is very delicate, the ways you wash your bathing suit greatly affect its durability. Thus, according to Samuel, you should:
• Rinse your swimsuit with cold water immediately after use; do not put a wet bathing suit for too long in a closed carrier, such as plastic sack or clothing bag.
• Wash the swimsuit by hand with a mild, bleach-free clothing detergent.
• Do not wring out the swimsuit, just squeeze it gently and hang to dry.
• Do not dry the swimsuit under direct sunlight.
• Do not iron the swimsuit.
• Swimsuits should be stored folded in the closet.
