Barcelona and Spanish soccer star, Cesc Fabregas, is set to visit Jakarta and play against the Indonesian national soccer team on Thursday.
Fabregas confirmed his departure for Indonesia via his official Twitter account on Wednesday.
“Jakarta, here I come,” he said on his Twitter account, @cesc4official.
It is not only Fabregas who is slated to be coming to Jakarta; other Spanish stars are also scheduled to arrive in the city by Wednesday.
“So far, we have received confirmation only from Fabregas. They [the Spanish team] say they will bring the team, although not all the players who were there during the EURO 2012 competition,” national team official, Benhard Limbong, said Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Kompas reported that big names like Spanish midfielders Xavi Hernandez and Xabi Alonso are expected to come.
Spain won the European championship - their third major international championship victory in a row - after
beating Italy with a dazzling 4-0 result. Fabregas contributed one assist for David Silva to score the first goal. (fzm/iwa)
