BigBang’s Alive tour gets support from Samsung
The South Korean group, BigBang, is touring the galaxy as its 2012 Alive World Tour is being supported by the country’s electronics giant, Samsung.
The group’s management, YG Entertainment, made the announcement on its official Facebook page on Friday.
“Now BigBang’s collaborating with Samsung for the world tour starting in Shanghai, China, and going on to Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, the US, Peru, Brazil and Europe” the announcement read.
Hence, the title of the tour has been changed to the BigBang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012.
The group is slated to stage its concerts in Jakarta on Oct.12 and Oct.13 at the Mata Elang International Stadium.
BigBang, the first Asian group to receive the Worldwide Act award at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, was formed in 2006 and consists of Kwon Ji Yong (G. Dragon), Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P), Dong Young Bae (Taeyang), Kang Daesung and Lee Seung Hyun (Seungri).
The group’s 2012 tour, which began on March 2 at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastic Hall, is the band’s first world tour. (iwa)
