The recent 5th Solo Batik Carnival ended with criticism of the organizers’ crowd control after thousands of people pushed their way in front of other onlookers to overwhelm the participants.

As a result, the dancers looked perturbed when performing during the parade from Sirwedari Sports Complex to City Hall.

The police escort did not intervene.

Your comments:

The indoor event was also awful. It was very difficult to enjoy the metamorphosis because of the distance between the audience and performers, especially from the east seats, as the performers faced to the west.

The organizers should have arranged the layout more carefully. Please put a big, wide screen facing the east and north sides, so all people can see all the performances. We did pay!

Also another big question: why did you all hold this event at night? It’s useless explaining the batik patterns and colors because we couldn’t see them.

If you ask me whether I would come and see this event next year, I would say no.
