Lions Clubs International president to visit RI

JAKARTA: The president of Lions Clubs International (LCI), Wayne A. Madden, and his wife, Linda, will visit Indonesia from July 9 to July 11 to launch a community library.
During their visit, they will visit a hemodialysis clinic operated by Lion Indonesia Foundation, visit a village in Cikarang, Bekasi; and meet with representatives from the Education and Culture Ministry.
The LCI is an NGO based in Illinois, US, with branches in 207 countries and approximately 1.4 million members. Founded 95 years ago, the LCI is an organization that operates based on community service with a motto of “We Serve.”
In Indonesia, the organization is known as the Lions Clubs Indonesia, Multiple District (MD) 307.
