SBY welcomes Czech President in a state ceremony

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono welcomed Czech President Vaclav Klaus in a state ceremony at Merdeka Palace on Monday afternoon.
After the ceremony, the two state leaders will have a bilateral meeting. Later, the two, as well as ministerial-level officials from both countries are slated to sign a number of memorandum of understanding.
Klaus arrived in Jakarta on Sunday evening after a stopover in the tourist city of Yogyakarta, which was his first destination in Indonesia.
In the evening, Yudhoyono will host his Czech state guests at a state dinner.
Klaus, his wife Livia Klausova and other delegation members arrived in Yogyakarta’s Adisucipto International Airport on Sunday morning. They were welcomed by Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X at his palace.
The delegation included the Czech environment minister and 17 top businessmen. (nvn)
