An Indonesian migrant worker turned into a millionaire after receiving an inheritance of more than 20 million Saudi riyals (US$5.33 million) from her late husband, and former employer, in Saudi Arabia, antaranews.com reported on Tuesday.

The woman, whose name has been withheld, traveled to the Middle Eastern country as an employee to a tycoon, who owns a multitude of land plots and apartment towers in the mountainous city of Taif.

Eventually, the magnate married the woman, but he passed away soon after.

The woman decided to stay in the country until she obtained her late husband’s inheritance.

After more than eight years of negotiations with the beneficiaries of the tycoon’s estate, Judge Syeikh Abdurrahman Al-Dakhil awarded the Indonesian woman more than 20 million riyals, with the tycoon’s total assets worth 300 million riyals. (yps/iwa)
