Simon’s world ranking up to sixth

Indonesian men’s singles shuttler Simon Santoso crawls up to the sixth position in the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) rank of this week, up one level from his rank last week, according to the BWF official website.

Simon ousted Japan’s Sho Sasaki who is demoted to seventh.

Along with former world champion and 2004 Olympic gold medalist Taufik Hidayat, Simon will be representing Indonesia at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, due to start July 27. (fzm/nvn)
