Action star Iko Uwais to star in Keanu Reeve’s directorial debut

The rising Indonesian action movie star Iko Uwais has joined the cast of Hollywood actors in Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut Man of Tai Chi.

The Golden Globe’s official twitter account @goldenglobes published the information on Friday saying, “The Raid star Iko Uwais has joined the cast of the action drama Man of Tai Chi, Keanu Reeves' directorial debut.”

Reeves will not only direct but also star in the movie.

Uwais, who is currently in Hong Kong for the movie’s shooting, also received a flood of congratulatory messages from his colleagues and Twitter followers through his twitter account @iko_uwais.

“Congratulations @iko_uwais on the role, very nice. I watched the camera featurette recently, should be great,” said one of his followers. (iwa)
