Denmark: Second girl dies after crushed by bales

Police say a second girl has died after she and her two sisters were crushed when straw bales fell on them on their parent's farm in west Denmark.

Spokesman Irvin Christensen said the 13-year-old died Friday and a 6-year-old remains in a critical condition.

A nine-year old had died Thursday hours after the bales fell on her and her sisters on the farm near Ringkoebing, 230 kilometers (140 miles) west of Copenhagen.

Media reported that the girls were playing in a farm building where horses were kept when the accident happened.

Police declined to name the victims in line with Danish privacy rules.
