In June 2010, Sri Mulyani Indrawati tendered her resignation as finance minister to her boss, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, as the President had done little to protect her from House of Representatives members who disliked her economic stance and her role in the Bank Century bailout.
Your comments:
It was a sad loss for Indonesia when Sri Mulyani had to leave her country.

Sri Mulyani has always been a competent finance technocrat. However, she does not have a solid political network of supporters. In this world, everything is political.
As such she lost her seat and it was a great loss to the country. She could have done many good things that other politicians only seem to know how to squabble about.
